Two phases. Get the hardware seeing your material, then work the software that turns what it sees into inventory. Each page ends by pointing at the next.

One or more sensors mounted above your material feed an edge compute box on your network. You organize storage into sites (a facility) and zones (a bay, bunker, silo, or open pile within it). Each scan of a zone measures the volume of material above that zone’s floor and converts it to tonnage and fill level using the zone’s material and capacity. The edge device keeps measuring while it is offline and syncs to the cloud when it can.

That is the collection side, and it is where the value starts rather than ends. Every measurement is kept, so a zone builds a history: consumption becomes a trend, a trend becomes days of stock left and a projected run-out date, and an alert reaches the right person before a zone gets low. Stock levels are current instead of a week old, nobody has to walk piles or climb a bay to check them, and the numbers you give a customer, an auditor, or your own finance team are a continuous timestamped record rather than a monthly estimate.
